Workshop on Solar Incentive Program
On February 9th, LADWP announced a Workshop scheduled for Wednesday, February 22, 2006 to obtain additional input from "stakeholders" on its Solar Incentive Program. The meeting will be held at 111 No. Hope St., Room 1555. The revised Guidelines for the remainder of FY05/06 (June 1,2005 to June 30, 2006) can be downloaded here.

On July 12, 2005 the Department attempted to gain Board Approval of a set of revised guidelines with only 72 hours notification to its stakeholders, and agreed to withdraw the guidelines before the Board could vote on them.   read more â•—

Today, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) approved the California Solar Initiative (CSI), committing a combined $3.2 billion in incentive funds to drive consumers toward solar power over the next 11 years. The CSI, modeled largely on the Million Solar Roofs bill that ran aground in the state Legislature last year, is designed to provide rebates for homeowners, businesses, farmers and government projects investing in rooftop solar. It aims to install 3,000 MW of solar power regaining California?s position as a world leader in solar energy.
